Generation and Manipulation of Multi-photon States

We are currently advertising a position for a master student in experimental quantum optics and quantum information processing. Responsibilities will include the design and characterization of multi-photon states using spontaneous parametric down-conversion, the investigation of new single-photon detectors using superconductors, and the development of new methods for all-optical quantum communication and quantum computation.

We welcome applications from candidates with a an excellent academic record in experimental quantum optics, quantum information processing, condensed-matter physics, superconductor physics or electrical engineering. Candidates must prove a strong attitude towards experimental physics.
