Quantum Weirdness Enters the Larger World

Eight-legged molecule may be the strangest and biggest new quantum phenomenon on the block. The quantum nanophysics group at the University of Vienna together with the team of Marcel Mayor at the University of Basel, Paul Fagan from Dupont and Klaus Hornberger at the University of Duisburg-Essen performed a new experiment that shows that large molecules, composed of hundreds of atoms exhibit the quantum mechanical matter-wave duality.
